Mini Protoboard

by Pimoroni

Preserve precious experimental circuits and prototypes with these handy protoboards!

Ideal for when you're ready to upgrade a small electronic project to its forever home, these colourful protoboards look just like a mini breadboard but they're actually less than 2mm thick! They've got through plated holes for easy soldering and the columns are connected in sets of 5 (also like a mini breadboard). We've made the traces on the back easy to cut if you'd like to reroute connections.

We've also included a loop to attach your tiny project onto other stuff - perfect for making light up keyrings, flashy lanyards or festive decorations!

Features

  • 170 through plated 1.2mm holes
  • 2.54mm/0.1" hole spacing
  • Dimensions: 61.7mm x 51mm x 1.6mm (approx)

When I saw this little board, I fell in love. And it is very useful for prototyping a small project. I have just added an IC socket and next to it female pin headers. Then add male pin headers into it, and you can solder anything onto these male header pins. When testing done, remove the male pin headers with any components and wires attached, stick new fresh male pin headers in and you are ready for the next project. I had ordered 10 of these boards and want to use them to build the 4 bit processor TD4. The Clock on the 74hc14 has been ticking already ... and the Reset function has been tested as well. And an Arduino nano fits nicely on there as well with headers wider apart …

A very cute little protoboard, I use them as keyrings and they look great on my backpack. Very useful to have around the shop as a quick circuit reference too.

great little things just as they are, but they're actually copper plated, so you can actually solder to them! one thing to note, the copper on the bottom is etched like a proto-board so be careful when making anything on them, all in all, id recommend getting one of every colour! plus cmon, 90p? treat yourself! ^~^

Brilliant idea, wish I'd seen it b4, shame they don't do a mini-enclosure for it

Just perfect for making a permanent version of any prototype that you put together on a mini breadboard and want to keep for repeated use. Really easy to cut the traces on the back for extra flexibility.
