Lithium Ion Battery Pack

Give your project some grunt with these lithium ion battery packs! Made from balanced 2200mAh cells connected in parallel including protection circuitry.

The ultimate range of high-quality lithium ion battery packs - pick whichever offers the best performance/size for your project. These little guys pack a huge amount of energy - we've tested each version to ensure the datasheet specs are accurate and the safety features kick in when needed.

Please note: Lithium ion batteries must be treated with respect and charged/discharged within the parameters listed in the datasheet, you should never dent, bend, puncture, crush, or otherwise damage them. You should only consider these kinds of batteries for your projects if you've done your research and understand the risks.

All our batteries come with a 100mm lead terminated with a standard 2-pole JST connector. They also include protection circuitry to ensure that they are not over discharged/charged and are protected from short-circuits but you should still take care when using them.

Features

  • 3.7V nominal voltage
  • 100mm JST terminated lead
  • Come 30% pre-charged for longer life storage
  • 4.2V charging cut-off and 2.4V emergency discharge cut-off
  • Short circuit protection

You should avoid discharging these batteries beyond 3.0V - the emergency protection circuitry will kick in at 2.4V. If the battery bulges or is physically damaged it should be discarded. Do not charge unattended.

Works a treat. I'm now using old lithium batteries I scavenged from a vacuum cleaner to power my raspberry pi 4, save in the knowledge that the shim will keep my pi safe!

It is a practically necessary piece of kit all things considered. I strongly recomment using it coupled with the stacking headers, so that you can still take advantage of the pins which aren't used by the shim

Great product as always! Wanted to add a lightweight power source to my raspberry pi zero robot and using this circuit with a LiPo battery was just what I was looking for.

This is a great piece of kit - you can either solder the board directly to the Pi's GPIO (like I did) or attach female headers that you can pop onto the Pi's headers if you want to remove it later on. I've also soldered a switch to the board, so that I can turn it on and off... well, at a flick of a switch! This makes a battery powered, yet compact, Raspberry Pi!
