FlexyPin Adapter
by Solder Party

These boards allow you to use various modules with a breadboard (and more) without having to solder the module in place. Just add FlexyPins!
It's a great way to create testing/flashing jigs, or just experiment with the module without the commitment of soldering it.
⚠ Please note that FlexyPins and adapter modules are sold separately! ⚠
What you get
- FlexyPin Adapter PCB
- 15mm long break-away 2.54mm pin headers
- Raspberry Pi Pico adaptor only
- Nylon standoffs
- A reset button (requires soldering)
- footprint for the standard Cortex 10-pin debugging connector

Notes
- If purchasing the ESP8266MOD adaptor here are many other similar ESP8266 modules that might have different marking, to make sure your module is compatible with this adapter, compare your module's pinout and dimensions to the ESP-12 datasheet available here.
- There is a pin labelling error on the current batch of ESP32-S2-SOLO/ESP32-S3- WROOM adaptors - see this issue for details.

Unfortunately I can't write a review yet, because the most important parts to use this adapters are currently not available. Simply spoken without the FlexyPins a FlexyPin adaptor is not usable.... so will waiting until these parts are available...

A small part - but it works great. Very fast shipping to Germany. Thanks

I bought this board for mounting the dirt cheap ESP32-WROOM-32E - the WROOM FlexyPin board was out of stock :( . Although it is designed for the S2 and S3 (so has 2 more connections) it works just fine.
There is a satisfying "snick" sound when the board slots in.
The first board I bought is set up as a prototyping fixture - the photo shoes my second board, as yet unconnected.

An absolutely great piece to start your own hardware development.
Only downside: I was not aware needing to order the flexipins extra and solder them on by myself.

The quality is nice but it is very annoying that it does not come with the pins... Make it cost 10% more then, and include the pins because this basically useless without them... I'm disappointed.

So this adapter comes minus the flexy pins. A complete waste of money hence the two star rating.

Makes breadboarding the ESP-WROOM 10x easier, well worth the price.

I am very disappointed that it doesn’t come with the proprietary flexi-pins, since ordering I release they come separately but as the time it didn’t appear to obvious. Maybe increase the price and include the flexi pins, seems weird that doesn’t come with the primary bits to make it work as advertised.
Obviously, this has now been put in a corner never to be picked up again.

Came as just a PCB no pins either included or attached. Avoid it isn't what you think you are buying.

Nice little board making it possible to build and debug code on ESP32-WROOM-32E prior to putting the board into a project.

I will admit that this is partially my fault, but initially I thought these had flexi pins built in, but be aware, you need to solder the pins yourself.... they are very small and quite tricky to get right, a very fine iron is required and extra flux helps.
Would LOVE a pre-soldered version of these for sale.

Thought the pins would come with but it doesn't matter it works great

Excellent as an aid to breadboarding projects. One point to make, this board comes unpopulated with any pins. You have to populate all the flexypins yourself. While not overly difficult, it is still a PITA. Especially if you are as old as rocks as I am. There should be an option to purchase fully populated.
