Flexible eInk/ePaper/EPD Display – 2.9"

Futuristic, ultra-thin and bendable greyscale eInk display panels!

We're big fans of eInk for its ultra low power consumption, excellent readability and great viewing angles - plus the fact that the image stays on the screen even when the power is off.  These clever flexible panels are some seriously space age stuff, perfect for curved nametags and wearable displays like smart watches.

Whilst these displays are flexible, continuously changing the shape will reduce the life span of the display, so you'll want to mount them on top of a solid curved surface (like a jar, bracelet or top hat) that supports the shape of your chosen curve.  We'd also recommend avoiding bending the end of the display where the 24 pin ribbon connector is attached as this is more fragile than the rest of the display.

You'll need some sort of hardware to interface between your microcontroller and this display panel, we like the Adafruit eInk Breakout Friend which supports partial refresh (as well as loads of other handy features).

  • Flexible, supports moderate bending
  • 4 Grayscale
  • Ultra-thin
  • Supports partial refresh, fast updates and no flicker updates.
