1.2" 8x8 square LED matrix
A beautiful white 8x8 square LED matrix, perfect for scrolling signs or adding a small display to your project!
- 1.2" size means the display is easily visible but not too large to fit on breadboard
- controlled by 16 pins - 8 on each side (see datasheet for pinout)
- Code to drive the LEDs directly can be found on the Arduino Playground

Excellent little LED matrix, really good value.
Loses one star because separation between the two rows of pins is not an exact multiple of 0.1in, so you need to bend the pins a little awkwardly (or use breakaway headers)

Haven't actually got it working yet but it looks like it should be great. I believe there is a PCB backplate (back pack) to make this easier to use.

Nice Little 8x8 matrix.
They are quite bright, ideal for someone that wants to build their on circuit board for any shape (maybe a 3x3 array [24x24] pixels) or any other configureation.
Myself I want to build a 2x8 [16x64]
I will be buying more of these.
