USB 2.0 microSD Card Reader

An ultra-compact microSD reader where the card slots right into the USB-A connector, perfect for keeping on your keyring for data emergencies.

Great for plugging into your computer and flashing Raspberry Pi OS in a pinch, or for converting any microSD card into a handy USB drive for file storage.

The SD card plugs into the side of the USB connector with the notch cut out of it, face up. Check the photos for guidance!

microSD card is not included (but you can buy one here).

Notes

  • Measurements: 26 mm x 19mm x 9mm (W x H x D, approx)
  • We found our SD card was a bit stiff to remove from the reader the first few times, so we used tweezers to grab hold of the little lip.

This is the most cursed-looking SD reader I have used but it's great. The SD card goes inside the usb connector itself creating the smallest version of a tool like this I have used, which makes it easy to keep with you on a keyring or something when you need. It also makes an interesting talking point if your friends are the sort of people interested in novel SD card readers (which I will admit is not common, but probably more common for the sort of people browsing this store).

Fantastic! Great way to load up your MicroSD card from a USB port. Worked a treat in the Rasperry Pi's USB port.
