Frequently Asked Questions

    Frequently Asked Questions

Got a question? There's a good chance we've heard it before! Here are answers to some of the things we're asked most often.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit and debit cards, along with PayPal, Apple Pay and Google Pay. The payment methods available to you will be shown at checkout.

You may also be able to spread the cost using Klarna or PayPal, depending on your location and order.

How do I track my order?

All Pimoroni orders are shipped with tracking.

We'll email you when your order has been dispatched, including a link to track its journey. You can also find tracking information by logging into your Pimoroni account and viewing your order history.

Tracking can sometimes take a little while to spring into life after dispatch, particularly while parcels are moving between countries. If your order looks properly stuck, get in touch with us and we'll investigate.

For delivery estimates and more information about our shipping services, take a look at our Shipping Information page.

Will I have to pay VAT, duties or import fees?

No surprise charges at the door! We ship international orders with the applicable taxes and duties paid.

For orders being shipped to the European Union, we collect the appropriate local VAT and any applicable duties as part of your order. We take care of getting those charges where they need to go, so you shouldn't be asked to pay additional VAT or duties when your parcel arrives.

For orders to the rest of the world, any applicable import duties are also included and handled by us.

In other words, the price you pay us includes the taxes and duties we're responsible for collecting - your parcel shouldn't arrive bearing an unexpected customs bill.

    Can I collect my order?

Yep! If you're local to Sheffield, we can usually arrange collection from our warehouse with a few hours' notice.

    1. Place your order online as normal.
    2. Email support@pimoroni.com with your order number and let us know you'd like to collect it.
    3. Wait for us to confirm it's ready before setting off.

We'll refund the shipping charge when you collect your order. Collections may occasionally be unavailable during particularly busy periods, so please make sure you've had confirmation from us before making the journey.

    Where are you?

You'll find the Good Ship Pimoroni here:

    Pimoroni Ltd
    Unit 1, Parkway Business Park
    Parkway Drive
    Sheffield
    S9 4WN
    United Kingdom

We're just off Sheffield Parkway, not far from Costco. Head down Parkway Drive, take the first exit at the mini roundabout and follow the road until you spot the Pimoroni sign.

If you're collecting an order, head to the middle shutter. Our crew is usually around Monday to Friday, 9:30am to 5pm - but please arrange your collection with us first.

How do I use your products?

We put a lot of effort into making our products easy to get started with. You'll find setup instructions and useful links on individual product pages, along with tutorials and guides over on learn.pimoroni.com.

Most of our software is open source too, so if you'd like to see what's going on under the bonnet - or change it completely - you'll find our code on GitHub.

Got a technical question? Our forums are a great place to ask. They're frequented by the Pimoroni crew and a splendidly knowledgeable community of makers who have probably attempted something similarly peculiar before.

Do you offer educational or bulk discounts?

We do! If you're buying in quantity for a business, school, university or other organisation, take a look at our wholesale store.

Once your account has been approved you'll have access to wholesale pricing and can order online or send us a purchase order. Minimum order values apply - you'll find the current details on the wholesale store.

    What does Pimoroni mean?

    Pirate. Monkey. Robot. Ninja.

Pi-Mo-Ro-Ni. It made sense at the time.

    How do you pronounce it?

    Pih - Mo - Row - Knee.

    Or, if it helps:

    • Pih - like pimento
    • Mo - like lawnmower
    • Row - like rowboat
    • Knee - like your knee

    Still got a question?

No problem. Pimoroni is a small team of around 30 people in Sheffield and there are actual humans at the other end of our support system.

For questions about orders, deliveries, returns or your account, get in touch with our support team. For technical questions and project advice, try the Pimoroni forums.
