About Engineer
Engineer is a Japanese tool maker based in Osaka, making clever, well-designed hand tools for electronics and engineering. They’re particularly good at tools that solve awkward little workshop problems – removing solder, rescuing damaged screws, handling tiny components and making neat, precise cuts.
They’re proper working tools too: made to be used every day and kept around for years.
Our favourites
The SS-02 Solder Sucker is a Pimoroni bench favourite. Its soft silicone nozzle gets right up against the joint for effective desoldering, and we stock replacement silicone tubes to keep it going.
For screws that have seen better days, Nejisaurus screw removal pliers grip damaged, rounded and stubborn screw heads that an ordinary screwdriver can’t. There’s also the Rapid Screw Extractor, another handy option for getting stubborn screws out.
For electronics work, you’ll find precision nippers, ESD-safe tweezers, wire strippers, crimping pliers and plenty of useful little drivers, pliers and cutters.
