A great kit that helped me to get some nice videos of our bird feeder. I had to move it a bit away from the window though as the camera can't focus at close distance.

Awesome Kit to make something with your kids and introduce them to the world of tinkering. I assembled this set with my 7 years old daughter and she was soooo happy with the finished product. Simple and clear instructions make it easy to assemble and setup. Easy access via your local WiFi network. Only downside...so far, we were not able to record a squirrel in our backyard. ;-)

This is an excellent little kit. Most of the stuff you need to get going and easy instructions. The 8 year old lived it, and it's a nice way to do some fun computing projects with them!

The octocam project is a great little setup even a child can build, but it is really powerful. You do need to add an SD card and a PSU, but you can get going straight away; And of course you can customise it. So I will let you into a secret, I used a couple at work where I needed a time lapse camera at work for a big building project we are doing. So they are good enough for professional projects too . 5 out of 5

Great little kit. Quality is superb. Kit came with everything needed for the project (except SD card and UK plug. it does have USB cable for power) Also comes with a sheet of cool stickers Using the online instructions, kids built and installed the camera. We built it for sticking onto the window. Also works as a desktop camera too using supplied stand. We now have another discreet motioneye daytime security camera for the garden Will be purchasing another. Would be nice to have an IR option for the kit too, with IR LEDs and noIR camera for 24hr monitoring (maybe LEDs can be on a separate board that connects to octocam)

I bought this so my wife who is quadriplegic could see what was going on outside by viewing the images on her ipad. Have to say its a fantastic piece of kit for the price. Used the online instructions to assemble and then download the software, set up the sd card. Altogether took about 45 minutes. The software is really simple to use and the images are great quality. Suggest 10fps if your going to record the images but for streaming through the home network just bang it up to 25fps. My wife was really pleased with it as now she can see whats going on in the world and it put me in the good books for a while, happy days :)

This is a great kit!, all parts inside to build a tiny security camera together with the nice motionEye OS software. Just stick it on a window to watch the outside of your home, and as mentioned capturing images when motion is detected make's this tiny device more than worth's it's money.

Does what it says on the tin. Not only that: it's also easily built in exactly the short 30 minutes advertised. After that, your imagination is the limit. Want to be curtain twitcher? Sorted. Watch your guinea pigs eat, sleep, sh*t, and generally laze about? Knock yourself out! And, not to forget: enviable customer service and speedy delivery. Amazon, beware! Highly recommended.

Nice kit - easy to assemble. MotionEyeOS requires a small manual extra file to configure a WiFi connection, and bear in mind that the Zero W board needs a stronger WiFi signal than the Pi3 to operate, and off you go.
