OmniVESA

by Pimoroni

The perfect mounting solution for your Raspberry Pi!

Simply remove the protective backing from the OmniVESA and follow the instructions below to mount your Raspberry Pi either bare or in any of the most popular cases.

The nylon screws provided are long enough to work with all of the relevant cases, though if you find they are protruding too far from the case of your choice you can easily trim them down using some cutting pliers. Just remember to use eye protection when cutting!

The OmniVESA supports 75mm and 100mm spacing mounts

Kit contains

  • 1 x OmniVESA
  • 2 x M4 16mm Nylon Knurled Thumbscrews
  • 2 x 5mm Nylon Spacers
  • 2 x M2.5 x 16 nylon screw
  • 3 x M2.5 nuts

Raspberry Pi uncased - use the nylon bolts provided to attach the Pi to the VESA mount using the mounting holes on the Pi itself

Raspberry Pi Model A+ in Coupé Royale Pibow - use the screws provided to attach the OmniVESA under the base layer of the Pibow as shown

Raspberry Pi Model A/B/B+ in Pibowuse the screws provided to attach the OmniVESA under the base layer of the Pibow as shown

Raspberry Pi Model B+ in ModMyPi/Cyntech case - the metal screws provided with the case to secure it together will also allow the OmniVESA to be mounted on the base as shown

Raspberry Pi Model B+ in FLIRC case - replace two of the metal screws usually used to secure the case together with the two nylon bolts provided with the OmniVESA and use them to secure the case together with the OmiVESA attached to the base

Raspberry Pi Model B+ in One Nine Design case - The base of the case has two recessed mounting holes you can use to mount the case to the OmniVESA using the nylon screws provided before you put the Pi in the case.

Raspberry Pi Model B in ModMyPi case - two holes in the base will allow an OmniVESA to be mounted under the case using the nylon bolts provided

Raspberry Pi Model B in Cyntech Case the metal screws provided with the case to secure it together will also allow the OmniVESA to be mounted on the base as shown

Great versatile device and even in beta it doesn't take much effort to get it working for projects. The design is really polished too.

I used Presto to create a clock. This clock features a calendar function, slideshow functionality, and the ability to display pre-set messages. Development was highly efficient as I implemented it using MicroPython, allowing me to complete the project in a very short time. Calibrating the clock via WiFi is straightforward, making it easy to maintain accurate time. The RGB565 colour display offers excellent colour reproduction, and the backlight is bright enough to make it well-suited for displaying photos. Additionally, SanDisk microSD cards (I used a 64GB version) work perfectly without any issues. The piezoelectric speaker is ideal for playing the hourly chime, and I have also implemented ambient LED effects on the back to accompany the chime. The aluminium enclosure is solidly built and looks premium, making the finished application feel almost like a production-level product. Furthermore, the touch panel’s sensitivity is excellent, providing a smooth and responsive user experience.

A very fine product, in many ways 'just the ticket'. As any design, there are needed extensions. The use of I2C as the external interface and WiFi as the communications medium are, by themselves easy to work with and the Pico2350 is an excellent chip, but some access to the 2350GPIO would have been a nice thought. One answer is the IIC to Serial converter which works fine for Arduino but I have not been able to make it work on the presto under micropython. I like the touch colour screen (480x480) and Pimoroni give a good example software set, but I still yearn for some GPIO access. Great product, proud to own one!

Lots of fun with this. Dusted of my python, worked out the quirks of MicroPython and now have a Octopus Energy Agile price graph along with hooking in to Home Assistant to display (and control) the central heating. Like other who have mentioned the USB C port would have been better coming out of the rear instead of the side, but it's just a minor issue.

This is really quite powerful - my first dip in rp boards and once i was pointed to using thonny on the forum was off to the races - can even use it to control Home Assistant - I have a poc working. i also updated the two clocks with timezone support with buttons to change timezone. screen is bright and the device seems to be functioning flawlessly for a beta - thanks Pimoroni!

The documentation isn't there yet, you'll need to figure out things on your own (hint: it's a pico). Great board though, and the possibilities are huge as a desk gadget, works brilliantly

Very nice all in one solution for a music display. Working on a display for the Presto Music P10 streamer. Much left to do, but impressed with its ability to easily display jpg images.
