Without laboratory conditions or calibration, you won't be able to say \u003cem\u003e\"the concentration of carbon monoxide is n parts per million\"\u003c\/em\u003e, for example. The LED could be used to indicate when the sensor is running or to notify you visually of gas concentration changes.
