If you're using it with a \u003cstrong\u003efull-size Pi\u003c\/strong\u003e then you'll need a \u003ca href=\"\/en-eu\/products\/booster-header\" target=\"_blank\" data-mce-href=\"\/en-eu\/products\/booster-header\"\u003ebooster header\u003c\/a\u003e to raise it up over the Pi's USB ports and \u003ca href=\"\/en-eu\/products\/extended-pi-standoffs\" target=\"_blank\" data-mce-href=\"\/en-eu\/products\/extended-pi-standoffs\"\u003eextended standoffs\u003c\/a\u003e if you'd like to bolt it in place.\u003cstrong\u003e \u003c\/strong\u003eIf you're using a \u003cstrong\u003ePi Zero or Pi Zero W\u003c\/strong\u003e you won't need a booster header, but you might like to pick up these \u003ca href=\"\/en-eu\/products\/short-pi-standoffs-for-hyperpixel-round\" target=\"_blank\" data-mce-href=\"\/en-eu\/products\/short-pi-standoffs-for-hyperpixel-round\"\u003especial short standoffs\u003c\/a\u003e that will let you attach everything securely together in an extra slim package.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIf you're using standoffs to fasten your Hyperpixel and your Pi together, just screw them into the posts on the underside of the HyperPixel PCB and then secure with screws through the mounting holes on your Pi.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003ePlease note: when installing HyperPixel 2.1 Round onto your Pi \u003cstrong\u003emake sure not to press down on the screen surface\u003c\/strong\u003e. We recommend putting the screen face down on a soft surface and gently wiggling the Pi to mate with the extended header (or GPIO header). If you need to remove your Hyperpixel, take care not to pull on the edges of the glass display - it's best to hold on to the round PCB. As the glass edges of this display overhang the PCB they're quite exposed, so it's worth being extra careful with them.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch2\u003eSoftware\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIf you're using a recent version of Raspberry Pi OS (Bullseye or later) then you'll need to use the built in kernel drivers - just add the following line to the end of your \u003ccode\u003eboot\/firmware\/config.txt\u003c\/code\u003e (and then reboot):\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003ccode\u003edtoverlay=vc4-kms-dpi-hyperpixel2r\u003c\/code\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eYou will need to have I2C disabled (\u003ccode\u003esudo raspi-config nonint do_i2c 1\u003c\/code\u003e).\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIf you need to rotate the display you can do this using Pi OS's 'Screen Configuration' utility. Note that the \u003cstrong\u003ekernel drivers for Round do not include touch support.\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e⚠ The screen backlight will not automatically turn off when you shut down \/ power off your Pi.
