A voltage regulator and logic level shifting combine to make it usable with a range of microcontrollers with either 3.3V or 5V logic levels. They even give you a pin for you to use the excess 3.3V juice not needed by the TLV493D.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThey've also outfitted the breakout with \u003ca href=\"\/en-eu\/collections\/qwiic\" target=\"_blank\"\u003eSparkFun Qwiic\u003c\/a\u003e compatible \u003ca href=\"\/en-eu\/collections\/stemma-qt\" target=\"_blank\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eSTEMMA QT\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/a\u003e connectors to allow you to use it with other similarly equipped boards \u003cstrong\u003ewithout needing to solder.\u003c\/strong\u003e \u003ca href=\"\/en-eu\/products\/jst-sh-cable-qwiic-stemma-qt-compatible\" target=\"_blank\"\u003eQT Cable is not included, but we have a variety in the shop.\u003c\/a\u003e Because the TLV493D \"speaks\" I2C, you only need two wires (in addition to power) to interface with your microcontroller, and you can share those pins with other I2C sensors.
