However, the Si1145 does UV Index approximations based on light level not true UV sensing. The LTR-390, in contrast, does have a real light sensor in the UV spectrum. It's also got a much much simpler I2C interface so you can run it on the Arduino or Python microcontrollers\/microcomputers with ease. Unlike the GUVA analog sensor, the biasing and ADC is all internal so you don't need an ADC.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eTo make using it as easy as possible, Adafriut have put the LTR390 on a breakout PCB in the \u003ca href=\"\/en-eu\/collections\/stemma-qt\" data-mce-href=\"\/en-eu\/collections\/stemma-qt\" target=\"_blank\"\u003eStemma QT form factor\u003c\/a\u003e with a sprinkle of support circuitry to give you options when testing. You can either use a breadboard or the \u003ca href=\"\/en-eu\/collections\/qwiic\" data-mce-href=\"\/en-eu\/collections\/qwiic\" target=\"_blank\"\u003eSparkFun qwiic\u003c\/a\u003e compatible \u003ca href=\"https:\/\/learn.adafruit.com\/introducing-adafruit-stemma-qt\" data-mce-href=\"https:\/\/learn.adafruit.com\/introducing-adafruit-stemma-qt\" target=\"_blank\"\u003eSTEMMA QT connectors\u003c\/a\u003e, and compatibility with 5V voltage levels as commonly found on \u003ca href=\"\/en-eu\/collections\/arduino\" data-mce-href=\"\/en-eu\/collections\/arduino\" target=\"_blank\"\u003eArduinos\u003c\/a\u003e, as well as 3.3V logic used by many other boards like the Raspberry Pi or \u003ca href=\"\/en-eu\/collections\/feather\" data-mce-href=\"\/en-eu\/collections\/feather\" target=\"_blank\"\u003eFeathers\u003c\/a\u003e.
