This is the big one, the bee's knees, the bling king (or queen), the ultimate Flotilla kit!
Everything you'll need to build three different Cookbook recipes, including a super-cool weather station, or endless inventions with Rockpool.
The perfect little introduction to the world of Flotilla! Start your Flotilla journey here and then build your collection of modules later.
The Flotilla Dock is the heart of the Flotilla system. It talks, through serial USB, to all of the Flotilla modules connected to its eight ports. Connect it to your Raspberry Pi with a good quality USB A to micro B cable, and then connect your Flotilla modules to the eight ports with Flotilla cables.
These cables are perfect for connecting your Flotilla modules to the Dock, and the Dock to your computer. They're high-spec cables, designed specifically to deal with the higher currents that the Flotilla components can draw, and we've even stamped the Flotilla logo onto the moulded plastic connectors.
The Rainbow module has five shiny bright full-colour LEDs. It's ideal for using as a readout of sensor values, mood light, or health bar indicator for a game.
The Motion module can detect motion in three axes - X, Y, and Z as well as being able to detect compass heading. Ideal for building into robots, or as a tilt-sensitive controller for games.
The Touch module has four capacitive touch buttons and four bright white LEDs. It's ideal for reaction time games, a tiny piano, or a code entry keypad.
The Number module is a seven-segment display, with four digits, four decimal points, and a colon between the two pairs of digits. It's ideal for using as a readout of sensor values, as a clock, or a countdown timer.
The Colour module detects RGB colour, as well as ambient light level. It also has two bright white LEDs to illuminate objects whose colour is being detected.
