Choosing a Picade
Picade is our Raspberry Pi arcade cabinet kit, available in two sizes. Both come as flat-pack kits with the controls, display, audio and wiring included - just add your own Raspberry Pi.
- Picade is our compact desktop cabinet, designed for a single player with a 4:3 display that's a great fit for classic arcade games.
- Picade MAX is the bigger bartop version, with a 19" IPS display and enough room for one or two sets of controls.
Picade uses our Picade X HAT USB-C to handle the controls, audio and power. Picade MAX uses separate USB controller and USB audio boards, along with a volume encoder.
We also sell spare and upgrade parts separately, including the Picade Plasma Kit for adding illuminated buttons and a replacement wiring loom.
Buttons, joysticks and screens
If you're building a cabinet of your own, the Arcade Parts Kit gives you the essential controls and wiring in one bundle. You can also pick and mix from full-size arcade buttons, mini buttons, joysticks and even a massive 100mm illuminated button for projects that require a pleasingly unreasonable amount of button.
Our HDMI screen kits include the display and driver board, with 8" and 10" options. Both have a 1024x768 4:3 display, making them particularly well suited to retro games and home-built arcade cabinets.
Retro hardware
Beyond arcade cabinets, you'll also find retro-inspired controllers and keyboards. The 8BitDo Retro Mechanical Keyboard combines classic computer styling with modern mechanical switches, programmable keys and wireless connectivity, and comes in N and Fami editions.
